I have recently joined WSL as the Executive Director. I graduated from Concordia University in 2015 with my Bachelor’s in HR Management and a minor in Health Care Management. Throughout my career I have worked with the senior population and have held different roles within Assisted Living communities. I am excited to work with the WSL team to enhance the lives of our residents. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my two boys.
I started working at Waterford Senior Living in 2014. I have been a caregiver for 4 years and was previously managing the caregiver schedule for almost 2 years. My role in HR consists of facilitating the hiring process, onboarding new staff members, organizing trainings for our staff, and organizing activities and rewards to boost employee morale. I also work hand in hand with our LPN to assure we provide the best care for our residents. I love getting to know the staff and residents. In my free time, I spend time with my fiancé and family.
I started with WSL in 2017. I provide patient care coordination services for our residents. I assist with addressing resident’s health care concerns and providing continuity of care. I strive to help our residents receive the highest level of care by working closely with physicians, pharmacies, outside providers and other members of our interdisciplinary team. I have been working the geriatric population since 2006 and find my work to be very rewarding by helping others and making a difference in their quality of life. Outside of my career, I enjoy spending time with my children and family and participating in outdoor activities.
I have been with WSL since Memory Care opened in 2012. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Activity Department. It is my job to plan, facilitate, and carryout therapeutic and recreational programs for all the residents that pass through our doors. It is my goal to provide a fun, warm, and nurturing environment for our Residents and their families while they are here. I am passionate about working with those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I also enjoy art, music, dance, and spending time with my family. Our three kids keep my husband and I plenty busy!
After seeing the attractive communities and meeting the Executive Directors at Beloit, Milton and Waterford Senior Living, there was no question about my desire to be a part of this team. I bring extensive experience with working in senior services and hope to be a great resource to family members and potential residents as they navigate the challenging decisions associated with aging. I am pleased to be a part of an organization that operates with strong ethics. Your Quality of Life Is Our Commitment is more than a phrase. It is the way that we live our mission. I have 3 “adult” children, 2 of who live at home. I have been married for 29 years, and found that being home with a Retired Fireman though enjoyable, was not something I was ready to do full time.
